MV Oktavia

Test MV Oktavia is a Thailand liveaboard where families are welcome to cruise, dive and simply enjoy the tropical and exotic island destinations. Swedish owned and operated MV Oktavia is a comfortable and affordable scuba diving boat. The diving staff and crew are friendly and helpful in making the cruise a most memorable one.

MV Oktavia has 4 double bed cabins and 5 bunk beds cabins (all cabins accommodate two guests only). Plus 2 Master en-suite cabins with one double bed mini-fridge and option for 2 floor mattresses available for children.

Divers who have joined Thailand Liveaboard trips with MV Oktavia feel like they are part of the Oktavia family. Snorkelers can enjoy the Similan as well with their own snorkeling guides while there are also activities for kids, such as treasure hunts on the islands. The food on board includes well prepared Thai and European dishes.

Please note: All Liveaboard prices are in Thai Baht / diver based on Twin room sharing.  Divers need to be PADI Advanced diver or equivalent to qualify to dive deeper than 18m. If not you can complete a “Deep Adventure Dive” for THB 1,500 only.

How to book your Liveaboard trip: For Advanced bookings we only need a 30% deposit. Let us know the dates that work for you and we send you booking instructions. We accept major credit cards, PayPal and bank transfer. We do not charge a fee for card payments. Select Trip / Cabin Type Now!

Included in the above prices: Diving guide, scuba tanks, weights & belt, all meals, fruits & snacks, basic personal accident insurance, one way speedboat transfers for 2 and 3 day trips, land transfers from central Khao Lak hotels (Phuket hotel transfers can be arranged for evening departures at 500 baht per person per way extra).

Excluded in the above prices: Scuba Diving Equipment rental, soft drinks and Alcohol. Similan Island National Park Fee THB 500 entrance fee then THB 200 per diving day, per person paid locally on the boat.

Oktavia Liveaboard Sample Itineraries

Day of Departure (First evening on the Oktavia):

14:00 – 16:00: Phuket and Khao Lak Hotels Pick Up.
16:00 – 17:00 Arrive Thap Lamu Pier.
17:00 – 18:00 Depart for the Similan Islands.
19:00 – 20:00 Boat Briefing, Staff Introduction, Cabin Allocation, Welcome Dinner.
Diving Days (Depending on the length of the Cruise).

Some of the famous Dive Sites you will dive during your liveaboard cruise are Koh Bon, Koh Tachai & Richelieu Rock.

Up to 4 Dives per Day.
Day of Arrival ( Last Day on the MV Oktavia).

07:00 – 12:00 2 Dives when possible.
Depart for Thap Lamu Pier (timing dependent on length of trip).
Arrive at Thap Lamu Pier (timing dependent on length of trip).
Transfer to Hotel, Phuket Airport, or Dive Shop (timing dependent on length of trip).
