Location Racha Yai    

Racha Yai is a picture perfect tropical island complete with white sand beachs. Rather than just a single dive there are numerous all around the island. The more popular ones are in the sheltered bays that offer year round diving.

 

Bungalow Bay

Bungalow Bay has much to offer divers with parrot fish, snappers, grouper, angel fish and butterfly fish all being present and those with a keener eye may find ghost pipe fish and other macro critters. Bungalow Bay also has a fairly diverse amount of crabs calling it home as well as cuttlefish however both of theses tend to be easier to spot on night dives.

 

Siam Bay

The reef itself is acropora hard coral of the staghorn and table variety. Reef inhabitants include trumpet fish, lion fish, scorpionfish, titan trigger fish,puffer fish and many other of the colourful reef fish species that you find elsewhere around Racha Yai Island and the other Phuket dive sites. There is a big school of fusiliers and another big school of yellow tail barracuda. Butterfly fish and angel fish are also common.

 

Homerun Reef

Made up primarily of hard corals such as staghorn, brabh and pore coral the reef drops down to a sandy bottom at a maximum depth of 20 meters or so. Most dives are a gentle drift dive at this site with there being plenty of tropical reef fish to checkout as well as keeping an eye out for hunting trumpet fish amongst the staghorn coral.
